The Greatness of Men is always motivated by a Great Woman!
In other words the statement is true that behind every great man is a greater woman and it takes a man that operates in humility to understand the purpose and power of women in our lives. Society teaches us that men have to be tough and in control, and also at times void of emotion. In some cases and in some situations that might be true, but in most cases it is not. I was that typical “Kappa” Alpha Male, always in charge, I lacked emotion and affection. I wanted things done that way I wanted them done, I had my own ideals, and wanted things done in that manner. I know that this is speaking to someone at this point. That attitude was wrong, I even believed that it was my wife who had all of the issues that needed to be addressed, and that she was the one who needed to change, and I had a list of all the things that she needed to change. Here is a TIP; the only person that you have the power to change is YOURSELF!
As I enjoyed success in Corporate America and began to move up the corporate ladder, the reason why I was able to enjoy success and all the accolades that come with it was because of the woman that was behind the man. I know that some of you are saying yeah right, but think about it; who takes the kids to the doctor, who stays up at night when you or the kids are sick, who is at all the soccer, basketball and football games, dance recitals. There are many more “who is the person” that I could list but just take time to reflect on the title of today’s blog. If you desire to be the BEST YOU that you can be and you want to have success at the highest levels, it might be time to treat your partner as the BEST thing that ever happened to you! As men we have allot to appreciate, and each and every day we should take the time to tell the women of our lives how much we love, adore, respect and appreciate them, and if there are desired changes that we want, we should start with the man in the mirror. If your wife wants more attention, affection, love then that is what should be done, because it will only help you to achieve greater things in life. The Greatness of men will always be inspired by a Great Woman!
Now for the women out there who might be reading this, you should be motivating your Husband, boyfriend etc. to great things by being that total support system. Take time to read Proverbs 31: 10-31. (From the Message): 10 -31 A good woman is hard to find, and worth far more than diamonds. Her husband trusts her without reserve, and never has reason to regret it. Never spiteful, she treats him generously all her life long. She shops around for the best yarns and cottons, and enjoys knitting and sewing. She's like a trading ship that sails to faraway places and brings back exotic surprises. She's up before dawn, preparing breakfast for her family and organizing her day. She looks over a field and buys it, then, with money she's put aside, plants a garden. First thing in the morning, she dresses for work, rolls up her sleeves, eager to get started. She senses the worth of her work, is in no hurry to call it quits for the day. She's skilled in the crafts of home and hearth, diligent in homemaking. She's quick to assist anyone in need, reaches out to help the poor. She doesn't worry about her family when it snows; their winter clothes are all mended and ready to wear. She makes her own clothing, and dresses in colorful linens and silks. Her husband is greatly respected when he deliberates with the city fathers. She designs gowns and sells them, brings the sweaters she knits to the dress shops. Her clothes are well-made and elegant, and she always faces tomorrow with a smile. When she speaks she has something worthwhile to say, and she always says it kindly. She keeps an eye on everyone in her household, and keeps them all busy and productive. Her children respect and bless her; her husband joins in with words of praise: "Many women have done wonderful things, but you've outclassed them all!" Charm can mislead and beauty soon fades. The woman to be admired and praised i the woman who lives in the Fear-of-God. Give her everything she deserves! Festoon her life with praises!
Be Your Best!
